At Birnam CD we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us.
Defective items:
If you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition and we will issue with a full refund (the item must be unopened, and where applicable all seals and shrink-wrap intact) You must notify us of your intent to return within 7 working days of the date you received the item and it must be returned to us within 30 calender days before a refund will be given.
Please note: we can accept returned items opened only if they are faulty.
Delivery charges:
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is defective, we will be happy to refund the handling and delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you (in full) and your costs in returning it to us (2.00 GBP maximum without prior approval). Otherwise you will be responsible for both the packaging and delivery charges and a handling and administration charge (minimum charge £4.00 GBP).
To return an item:
Before returning goods, please contact Martin at Birnam CD preferably by email info@birnamcd.com or by mail at the address below giving the reason for the return. We will advise you where to ship the item.
Once notified where to ship the item, please enclose a note giving the reason for the return, wrap the package securely and send the package to the address given. In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault and return the defective item in its original box (if any). Then send the package to the address given.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Cancelling an item:
Under the United Kingdom’s Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of delivery. This applies to all our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of video, DVD, audio and software products where the item has been unsealed and/or used.
To cancel this contract, please provide written notice. Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us so that we receive it within seven working days of the date that the item was delivered to you. The return address is:

For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. If we do not receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost. As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item.
