Description
Over the last two decades, Glasgow based singer/songwriter John Hinshelwood’s finely crafted, country tinged songs have helped establish his reputation as a singer and writer of distinction. He has performed and recorded with, among others, former Byrds member Gene Parsons and Scottish folk legend Rab Noakes, and shared a stage with many distinguished artistes including Tim O’Brien, Roger McGuinn, Kate Campbell and Darrell Scott. Lowering the Tone follows on from the critically acclaimed Holler til Dawn (2002), and Shattered Pleasures (2009), the latter a collaboration with Canadian singer Sandra Gellatly.
