Description
Lorraine Jordan’s music has been described as “celtic soul”. Born in Wales to Irish parents and steeped in generations of musicality, Lorraine digs into her Irish roots while reaching out to contemporary influences. The result is an intoxicating blend of original material.
Lorraine tours Europe regularly, performing both solo and with her band. She has played alongside many greats including Labi Siffre, Richard Thompson, the Waterboys and The Chieftains at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Her tribute song to murdered journalist Anna Politkovskaya has become something of an anthem for the “Anna Politkovskaya Award” hosted annually by Human Rights organisation “Raw In War”.
