Description
The Clutha was one of the great bands of the Scottish folk revival and through its innovative arrangements of fiddles, concertina and pipes, shaped, to a great extent, the sound of Scottish folk music as we know it today. Recorded in the USA in 1981, ‘Live from Harvard’ features the band showcasing the best of Scottish traditional music to a new audience.
As well as delivering superb music, ‘Live from Harvard’ also features three fantastic singers. Notably, the recording captures, for the first time, Gordeanna McCulloch performing live in her absolute prime. For many, Gordeanna was the finest ever singer of Scottish traditional songs and her performance here doesn’t disappoint.
